Animals and Nature at the Shiloh Morning Inn

As my daughter and I were leaving the Inn this morning, a fox crossed our path. It hesitated in the middle of the driveway, looking straight at us. We stood like statues, not breathing. Then a moment later, it darted into the woods. What a spectacular sight!

In addition to this fox, we have seen deer, rabbits, armadillos, raccoons, wild turkey, snakes, tarantulas, and roadrunners.

Recently, one couple went for a walk after dark. Upon reaching the middle of the walking trails, they turned off their flashlights to look at the stars. When their eyes adjusted to the darkness, they realized a large family of deer had approached them. "It was the most amazing thing we have ever seen," they excitedly reported the next morning at breakfast.

Our 73 acres include walking trails, a pond, and more stars than you can imagine! You have the opportunity to experience nature at the Shiloh Morning Inn. Come, enjoy it!

"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature, and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature." Anne Frank, The Diary of Anne Frank
